Objective of this blog showcase

The main objective of this blog is to showcase and celebrate the multimedia artefacts by the pioneer (Year 1, 2010) batch of students of the School of Science and Technology (SST), Singapore.

These works are the culmination of the students' 1-semester effort in uncovering their understanding of the theme 'The Elderly Challenge' in the Art, Design, Media and Technology (ADMT) subject area. Though the primary aim of this effort is in proposing an elderly-friendly product experience, elements of Challenge-Based Learning (CBL), innovation, entrepreneurship and media literacy are also encouraged to give the SST student a deeper experience towards the idea of Applied Learning. And all this in collaboration with the Alexandra Health Group (Singapore) that has so kindly provided support and expertise when needed.

It is hoped that through the students' exposure to the challenges faced by the elderly in the context of a developed country like Singapore, the students would be more aware of the situation and future environment that they are in, and would be in.

So do take some time to look through the multimedia presentations done creatively by the students from the various classes for their proposed products and/or solutions, and enjoy their efforts.
